There are at least four CVN meetings each year, which are organized by one of the members or together with partners. Basically all themes around corporate business development are discussed. We not only focus on sharing the success stories but we also address the lessons learned and the failures. In addition we sometimes participate in partner events.

The first Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Summit is a one-day summit which brings together the latest insights on corporate venturing & entrepreneurship, both from a practitioner as well as from academic perspective. Professionals from corporates and researchers from academia from all over Europe will share their knowledge and experiences on the different aspects of Corporate Venturing. The Corporate Venturing & Entrepreneurship Summit 2019 is organized by Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), The School of Economics and Management, Tilburg University and Corporate Venturing Network.

Dutch Design Discovery Route -October 25th 2018, CVN and Brainport Eindhoven
On Thursday October 25th, Corporate Venturing Network and Brainport Development organized the Dutch Design Discovery Route during the Dutch Design Week 2018. A group of 75 participants from small and large international companies discovered the highlights of Dutch design and technology during a tour. The goal of this event was to connect international companies to the Brainport Eindhoven network. This connection aimed to stimulate cooperation in R&D, innovation and business creation.

The theme of this event was “Corporate Venturing & Data Science” as the digitalization and datafication of our society opens up the way to innumerable new business opportunities and new jobs for those that are willing and able to embrace it. Startup Delta organized an expert session for regional innovation hubs on Corporates as an ecosystem partners on May 30th, 2018 in Utrecht. CVN was asked to present the corporate view on the different flavors of collaboration between corporates and startups in a regional innovation hub. When to use which instruments? How can a regional hubs facilitate the collaboration between corporates and startups? Question which were discussed in an interactive session.

On February 7th we were invited by Ghent University on Tech Lane Ghent Science Park in Gent. The theme of this meeting was science and industry collaboration. Corporates are reducing their investments in fundamental research, and therefore access to fundamental research has become even more important as it is fuel for the innovation funnels and therefore the future of companies.
