CVN event - Corporate Startup Collaboration
The CVN event at JADS kicked off with a keynote presentation on Data-Driven Entrepreneurship, followed by a real-life case study on MedLim. Lastly, we delved into a discussion on how to demonstrate the value of corporate-startup collaboration in a data-driven manner

The central theme for the first half of this year is Corporate Startup Collaboration. In May and June, we kickstarted two Corporate-Startup Collaboration Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to explore effective ways of bringing startups and corporations together to drive growth and innovation. Numerous members have engaged in these initiatives. The SIGs present an opportunity to keep pace with the latest trends and top practices in corporate-startup collaboration, connect with like-minded professionals, and expand your knowledge by exploring new ideas and strategies. During this event, we shared some of the preliminary findings/results with all participants and we discussed how we can how to demonstrate the value of corporate-startup collaboration in a data-driven manner.
The meeting started with a keynote presentation of Ksenia Podoynitsyna (Associate Professor Data-Driven Entrepreneurship) on Data to support innovation in/between corporates and startups
In addition, we presented a tangible case study involving three of our members: MedLim. MedLim is an accelerator program that aims to support promising startups in the medical technology sector. The pathway to launching a new product into the medical market can be long and filled with obstacles. With the backing of LIOF, IMEC iStart, Medtronic, and other partners, these startups can navigate this journey more easily. Furthermore, startups can also benefit from a unique ecosystem in the field of medical technology in the province of Limburg.
During the concluding part of the meeting, we shared initial outcomes from the Special Interest Groups on Corporate Startup Collaboration. The session also encompassed interactive discussions and breakout sessions, with a focus on demonstrating the value of corporate-startup collaboration through data-driven methods. Participants actively participated in meaningful conversations and explored effective approaches to showcase the advantages of collaboration between corporates and startups.
